Suguta Valley

Suguta Valley is part of the East African Rift in Kenya, located south of Lake Turkana in the Rift Valley Province. It is one of the driest regions in Kenya, though it is also traversed by seasonal rivers that provide it with water.

Different areas of the Suguta Valley present varied terrains, ranging from stunning lakes to murmuring streams, from lush vegetated zones to arid deserts, making it a richly diverse and uniquely characteristic landscape in Africa. The northern end of the Suguta Valley is home to Logipi Lake, a sparsely populated serene lake that serves as a habitat for a large population of flamingos, which live here comfortably and peacefully.
