Nakuru is the capital of Kenya's Rift Valley Province, the country’s fourth-largest city and the largest in the central and western part of Kenya. It lies adjacent to Lake Nakuru and boasts abundant tourism resources. Agriculture, manufacturing, and tourism are the city’s three major economic pillars. It is renowned for its vast farmlands and the pink-hued Lake Nakuru.

Nakuru is home to Lake Nakuru, an ideal destination for flamingo watching. This pink lake is so stunning that just thinking about it can make one ecstatic. Known as the "most colorful lake in the world" because of its flamingos, Lake Nakuru is nothing short of a paradise, heaven, or utopia for us. For birds, isn’t it also a wonderland? The lake serves as a natural habitat for over 400 species of birds, with massive numbers of flamingos residing and breeding here—sometimes exceeding 2 million, turning the entire lake surface into a breathtaking sea of red. Encircling Lake Nakuru is Lake Nakuru National Park, a haven for a wide variety of bird species. Each year, many ornithologists from around the world come here for research, making it a true "paradise for bird watchers."
