Jeffrey's Bay is a port city located in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, about a one-hour drive southwest of Port Elizabeth. The city is named after Jeffrey, the first person to settle here.

Jeffrey's Bay is a growing city that, in the past, had long been a sleepy little fishing village before rapidly developing into an urban center in recent years, now evolving toward a metropolitan direction. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, it was a famous gathering place for hippies and the birthplace of the surfing community. It boasts excellent beaches, and water sports such as sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and skateboarding are the main pastimes of local residents, making it a paradise for surfers.
