Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is located on the arid plateau of South Africa’s Eastern Cape Province, surrounding the town of Graaff-Reinet. Established in 2005, it covers an area of 19,405 hectares and is the 22nd national park in South Africa, an ideal place to appreciate one of the world’s great natural wonders.

Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park offers visitors the chance to experience a unique natural landscape and ecosystem, embarking on a magical journey through South Africa. Most of the park lies at an elevation between 740 and 1,480 meters above sea level and consists of steep hills and low-lying grasslands, providing favorable conditions for a variety of wildlife to thrive. Many animals in the park have adapted to survive in harsh and unpredictable environments, with the springbok being a prime example. Currently, the park is home to 5 frog species, 5 turtle species, 19 lizard species, 10 snake species, and 43 mammal species, such as the bat-eared fox and the southern black-footed cat.
