Two Oceans Aquarium
The Two Oceans Aquarium is located at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town and opened in 1995. It is one of the most well-known aquariums in Cape Town, named after its unique geographical location at the meeting point of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans.
The Two Oceans Aquarium is popular for its colorful marine life exhibits and is uniquely known for showcasing species from both the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. As one of the most visited aquariums in Cape Town, it is home to more than 3,000 fascinating marine creatures. Visitors can observe a variety of colorful fish, sharks, penguins, and more, making it an excellent place to learn about ocean life. Currently, the aquarium features 88 species of marine life across different zones including the Atlantic Ocean Gallery, Indian Ocean Gallery, I&J Children’s Centre, Frogs – Beyond the Pond, and the Kelp Forest Exhibit, offering visitors a close-up experience with the wonders of the underwater world.
In addition to viewing marine life, visitors can also swim with sharks, turtles, and stingrays at the Two Oceans Aquarium — an unforgettable underwater adventure.
