The Monaco Tropical Garden is situated on a cliff reaching heights of up to 98 meters. It was initially opened in 1933 and became accessible to the public in 1950. The garden is extraordinarily rich in vegetation, with approximately a thousand species of succulent and thick-leaved plants, most notably cacti. The tropical garden is home to a diverse array of subtropical plants with peculiar shapes that are a feast for the eyes. Among these tropical plants exuding strange and exotic fragrances are hundred-year-old giant cacti from Mexico and South America, and towering candle-like Euphorbias from Africa that reach nearly 10 meters in height.

In addition to admiring the beautiful and exotic tropical plants, visitors can also marvel at the wonders of nature in the form of caves. Sixty meters underground within the garden lies a prehistoric astronomical cave, where stalactites, stalagmites, and solidified limestone formations are nothing short of breathtaking, appearing even more mysterious under colorful lighting. The Monaco Tropical Garden is a true masterpiece of art where stone, water, flowers, and trees blend harmoniously. Pine and olive trees are pruned in traditional Japanese styles, while ponds and waterfalls are adorned with small islands of various symbolic shapes. Water flows among the flowers, and people are surrounded by blossoms and water. Visiting this place feels like stepping into a fairyland on earth — a truly enchanting experience that captivates all who come.
