Stratford Butterfly Farm is located in the town of Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of Shakespeare in Warwickshire, and opened in 1985. It consists of three parts: the Butterfly House, the Insect World, and the Spider Kingdom, offering a uniquely fascinating world of butterflies and insects.

The Butterfly House contains caterpillars, pupae, eggs, and a wide range of plants that butterflies need for breeding, allowing visitors to observe the life cycle and behavior of butterflies, as well as their living environments. The Insect World features mainly imported species such as beetles, mantises, stick insects, and centipedes—but there’s no need to worry, as they are kept safely behind glass. The Spider Kingdom is home to 15 species of spiders, including black widows and tarantulas, with the world’s largest spider—the Goliath bird-eating spider—also residing here. Stratford Butterfly Farm boasts colorful butterflies, diverse insects, and some truly intimidating spiders, all coexisting under one sky. The butterflies, with their varied and elegant movements, are the star attraction that captivates every visitor.
