Beachy Head rises majestically along the southern coast of England, forming a stunning shoreline of long, sweeping white cliffs. Standing at 162 meters high, it is the tallest chalk sea cliff in Britain. It is said to be around 100 million years old, and its snow-white vertical cliffs gleam spectacularly under sunlight, inspiring awe. Beachy Head is also known worldwide as a "suicide spot," ranking as the fourth most infamous site for suicides after Mount Fuji, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Niagara Falls.

There are many reasons for suicide, but the outcome is always the same—those who choose it end their young lives far too soon. People leave flowers on Beachy Head in memory of those who died for love, hate, or any number of other reasons. Along the cliffs, there are little teddy bears left by visitors with their arms outstretched, seemingly serving as a reminder to cherish life and not give up, so that young lives aren’t lost so soon. On Beachy Head sits the Belle Tout lighthouse, which is now a small hotel where guests can enjoy views from the top floor.
