International Red Cross Museum

Introduction A museum commemorating the International Committee of the Red Cross founded by Geneva-born Henry Dunant. Built in 1988, the museum primarily introduces the history and current activities of the International Red Cross. It is divided into 11 sections, where visitors can learn about the Red Cross through various mediums such as photographs, videos, and sculptures. Chinese audio guide services are also available to accommodate Chinese visitors.

During the war between Russia and Turkey, the Turkish army argued that "the red cross emblem might offend the feelings of Turkish soldiers," and thus requested the Red Cross to allow the use of a red crescent on a white background. The red crescent was introduced at that time. Transportation Take bus No. 5 or 8 and get off at the Ariana stop. Admission/Tickets & Opening Hours Ticket price: CHF 10 for adults, CHF 5 for students. Opening hours: 10:00–17:00 from Monday, Wednesday to Sunday; closed on Tuesday.
