　 Introduction

The Albright Art Gallery primarily exhibits works collected by Dubuffet, showcasing original creations by psychiatric patients and prisoners. These works fully embody the essence of the gallery's name—"Art Brut," or raw art.

Every piece in the gallery radiates unusual emotional impact and intense visual stimulation. This includes mysterious and fantastical paintings created by a completely blind woman in the 18th century, who painted using colors she felt through her fingers, artworks drawn by psychiatric patients in isolation wards, and carvings etched into walls by murderers in confinement cells. Every line, every splash of color, every circle and dot carries deep significance. Each artwork tells a gripping story. Enhanced by dim lighting, haunting music, and crimson carpets, the entire gallery exudes an eerie atmosphere that offers a profound glimpse into the other side of art.
