Madurodam

Madurodam condenses the Netherlands into a miniature city. It features a real lighthouse, two massive dikes, and the wavy buildings of Madurodam’s miniature world are waving to welcome you. Famous Dutch sights such as the cheese market in Alkmaar, the Peace Palace, the Royal Palace on Dam Square, and the canal houses of Amsterdam and Delft are all recreated in intricate detail. A 4.5-kilometer-long railway runs through the park with trains moving in all directions, windmills spinning vigorously, and small boats sailing along the canals. All replicas are built at a 1:25 scale and displayed in beautiful gardens. Indoor activities include the "Sandy World" sand sculpture exhibits, which depict the history of the Dutch reclaiming land from the sea. When winter comes and sunlight fades, over 50,000 street lamps illuminate the pathways of Madurodam, transforming it into a magical fairy-tale land.

Tip: The ticket office offers free Madurodam guidebooks in multiple languages including Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Spanish, and Japanese. Ticket/Opening Hours: Adults (12€), children (3–11 years old, 8.75€), seniors (65+, 11€), with group discounts available. Children aged 3–11 also receive a beautifully designed booklet (the Madurodam Passport) for free, which includes travel information and discount details for major Dutch attractions including Madurodam. Holding this passport also grants family discounts (for up to three people) on attractions.
