Scheveningen is located in the northwest of The Hague in the Netherlands and is one of the city’s eight districts, as well as one of its boroughs. It is the most famous seaside resort in the Netherlands, a popular destination for both locals and tourists, attracting around ten million visitors annually, making it the most visited seaside town in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Perhaps for this reason, many people, even some Dutch, mistakenly believe that Scheveningen is an independent city located to the west of The Hague.

Scheveningen is a modern seaside resort featuring a long sandy beach, a seaside promenade, a pier, and a lighthouse. In addition, there is a nudist beach located about 1 km to the north, which is quite eye-catching. The seawater here is blue, and the soft, golden sandy beach is surrounded by numerous casinos, large shopping malls, and digital cinemas. The long beach is also popular for water sports such as windsurfing and kite surfing. During the summer, the beach hosts many open-air concerts, beach volleyball matches, and the evening fireworks display is a famous tourist attraction.
