The Site of the Xiaoloufeng Incident is located in Xiaoloufeng Village, Chang’an Township, Gujiao City. On January 1, 1942, the CCP County Committees and County Governments of Qingtai-Xu and Yutai-Qi, the offices of the Seventh Special Administrative Region, all officers and soldiers of the Fourth Guerrilla Battalion of Qingtai-Xu, and the pistol squad of the 120th Division moved into Xiaoloufeng Village to prepare for an expanded meeting of Party and government cadres from the Seventh Special Administrative Region, reorganize the troops, review work, and plan the struggle against the enemy. Due to overconfidence and negligence among the leadership, at dawn on the 3rd, they were suddenly attacked by more than 300 lightly armed Japanese puppet troops from Taiyuan and Gujiao. The Fourth Battalion and others were caught off guard and had to fight hastily. During the fierce battle, 32 cadres and soldiers including Zhang Zhenfu sacrificed heroically, over 60 people including Xiao Jing, Secretary of the CCP Qingtai-Xu County Committee, and Li Xiao, Commissioner of the Seventh Special Administrative Region, were wounded, and 30 people including Sun Fa, Company Commander of the First Company of the Fourth Battalion, were captured. The CCP and government cadres and troops of Qingtai-Xu and Yutai-Qi suffered severe losses. Xiaoloufeng Village also sustained considerable damage, with all 25 oxen, 11 donkeys, and mules being looted by the Japanese army.

Xiaoloufeng Village: Xiaoloufeng Village currently has 253 farming households, a population of 634, 250 laborers, and 22 Party members (including 6 Party members over the age of 60 and 2 female Party members). The total cultivated land area is 3,568 mu. In 2012, the per capita net income of farmers was 6,940 yuan. It was designated as a key village for new rural construction by Gujiao City in 2012.
