Introduction

Located to the left behind the back of the Nord Station is Sforza Castle. It is said that Leonardo da Vinci also participated in the construction of this castle. It was completed in 1466. The interior is divided into several sections, including the Civic Musei del Castello (City Museums), as well as a sculpture said to have been created by Michelangelo just days before his death — the Rondanini Pietà, located on a door on the first floor, which is worth seeing. Additionally, the second floor houses a gallery and a collection of musical instruments, while the basement contains an archaeological museum displaying Egyptian relics. Behind the castle is Parco Sempione, perfect for a reflective stroll while enjoying delicious Italian ice cream. The park is filled with lush green trees — it’s best to find a bench under the shade and enjoy your lunch with a picnic-like mood.
