Former Residence of Pu Anxiu

The former residence of Pu Anxiu is located in Panjiazhuang Village, Majiajia Township, Loufan County.

From February to May 1947, the Central Committee dispatched Kang Sheng and Chen Boda to northwestern Shanxi to inspect and assist with land reform. Chen Boda led a land reform work team including Tian Jiaying and Pu Anxiu to conduct a pilot program in Panjiazhuang (encompassing Dashengtang, Zhangjiazhuang, and Panjiazhuang villages). Pu Anxiu worked in Panjiazhuang. The former residence consists of four cave dwellings, two of which are well preserved.

Pu Anxiu (July 1918 ~ May 1991), female, originally from Jiading Town, was born in Beiping. In 1935 (the 24th year of the Republic of China), she participated in the patriotic December 9th Movement. In 1936, she joined the Chinese National Liberation Vanguard and the Women's Salvation Association while attending the affiliated girls' high school of Peking Normal University, and joined the Communist Party of China the same year. She later enrolled in the History Department of Peking Normal University and engaged in underground communication work for the CPC. She then went to the anti-Japanese front in Shanxi. Panjiazhuang Village: Located in the southern part of Majiajia Township, Loufan County, Panjiazhuang Village is 12 kilometers from the county seat. The village has 303 households, a population of 1,206, 28 Party members, and a two-committee team of 4 members. The land area spans 3,780 mu, including 1,672 mu of arable land and 2,000 mu of returned farmland, with main industries being farming, service, and labor.
