Shangmiaowan Site
The Shangmiaowan Site is a cultural relic protection unit of Taiyuan City.
The Shangmiaowan Site is located about 1,000 meters west of Shangmiaowan Village, Miaowan Township, Loufan County, on the eastern terrace of the Fenhe Reservoir. It dates back to the Neolithic Age.
The Shangmiaowan Site is a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit of Taiyuan City.
Shangmiaowan Village: Shangmiaowan Village is situated east of the Fenhe Reservoir and is one of the reservoir resettlement villages. The registered population of the village is 339, with 124 households. The total arable land area is 265 mu. The fallow land area is 537 mu, and 95% of the population is engaged in agriculture. It is an agricultural village with scarce land resources. The village has no mineral or other natural resources, nor any enterprise-based economic projects.
