Located by Qingquan Lake, at the foot of Zhongyin Mountain, 2 kilometers north of Qingxu County and 35 kilometers from downtown Taiyuan.

The Romance of the Three Kingdoms City is a large-scale historical and cultural tourist attraction. It was built in the hometown of Luo Guanzhong, the author of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Covering an area of over 200 acres, the city has a total construction area of 22,962.72 square meters. Its main structures include the Temple of Guan Yu, the stage, the Offering Hall, the amusement and exhibition palaces, auxiliary buildings, the city gate tower, and corner towers. Inside the city, the main attractions are the two amusement and exhibition palaces. Each palace is 132 meters long and 60 meters wide, with a construction area of 12,428 square meters. The palaces showcase the stories of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms using sound, light, and electric effects. These include 45 stories such as the Oath of the Peach Garden, Discussing Heroes Over Wine and Plums, Three Visits to the Thatched Cottage, and the Unification of the Three Jin. The palaces feature numerous life scenes of civil and military figures engaged in political and military struggles, created through sculptures, colored paintings, and other forms of plastic arts.
