Cienfuegos Necropolis
The cemetery was built 20 years after the city’s founding, during the era when neoclassical architecture was in vogue. Tombstones featuring bas-relief portraits of siblings are true treasures. Many marble carvings are of equal value, including the famous folk legend of Sleeping Beauty. Numerous forged iron railings showcase the highest craftsmanship of local artisans from the last century. It has now become a national monument.
