Royal Army Castle
The Royal Army Castle was built between 1558 and 1576 and is the oldest fortress in Havana. For nearly two centuries, it served as the headquarters of the Spanish Governor's residence until the Governor's Palace was completed. Located at the Plaza de Armas and Port Avenue, the current exhibition hall of the National Museum is situated here.
