The Former Site of the Qingtai Xu Anti-Japanese Democratic Government is located in Luochiqu Village, Dongyu Town, Qingxu County, covering an area of 822 square meters.

On November 8, 1937, Taiyuan City and the three counties of Qingyuan, Taiyuan, and Xugou all fell to Japanese forces. The three county governments under Yan Xishan’s regime—Qingyuan, Taiyuan, and Xugou—withdrew to Luochiqu Village. In January 1938, the Qingtai County Anti-Japanese Government of the Chinese Communist Party was established in Duliuping. In June, in accordance with the needs of the Kuomintang-Communist cooperation, it was taken over by a county magistrate appointed by the Eighth Pacification Zone under Yan’s authority, forming the Qingtai Xu Anti-Japanese Democratic Government. Luochiqu Village once served as the center of Kuomintang-Communist cooperation against Japan in the Qingtai Xu region. In May 1939, the “Luochiqu Tragedy” occurred, prompting the anti-Japanese democratic government to relocate to Duliuping and the western mountainous areas. It was not until December 1939, after the “Shanxi Western Incident,” that the Chinese Communist Party re-established the Qingtai County Anti-Japanese Democratic Government. The site’s buildings face south and measure 37 meters from east to west and 28 meters from north to south, consisting of an eastern and a western courtyard.
