Museum of the Cuban Revolution

The Museum of the Cuban Revolution is located in the Old Havana district of the capital city, Havana. Originally the ——, a symbol of Cuba, after the Cuban Revolution, the —— was converted into a revolutionary museum. The building housing the museum served as Cuba’s —— until 1959. Constructed in 1920, it features a neoclassical architectural style—majestic in scale and extremely luxurious in its interior décor, embodying the talents of both domestic and international architects and designers. It is one of Havana’s most iconic and famous landmark buildings.

The Revolutionary Museum focuses on showcasing the Cuban revolution of the 1950s and the social development that followed its victory. It highlights the courageous spirit of the Cuban people in their fight for revolutionary triumph, as well as their dedication to building a better life under the leadership of the new government. The museum's collection primarily consists of weapons used during the revolution, historical documents, and materials reflecting post-revolution social progress. A smaller portion of the exhibits depict pre-revolutionary Cuban society, such as the Cuban struggle to free itself from Spanish colonial rule.
