The site of the establishment of the Teachers and Students' Anti-Japanese Volunteer Corps at Chengcheng Middle School is a cultural tourism attraction.

The site of the establishment of the Teachers and Students' Anti-Japanese Volunteer Corps at Chengcheng Middle School is located next to Chengcheng Middle School in Qingxu County, covering an area of 1,540 square meters. In 1937, after the fall of Beiping and Tianjin, secondary and higher schools in Taiyuan were evacuated and relocated. In August, Chengcheng Middle School moved to Qingyuan County. While continuing classes, teachers and students actively participated in anti-Japanese salvation activities and began planning to establish an anti-Japanese armed force. In early October, Peng Xuefeng, head of the Eighth Route Army Office, gave a situation report to the teachers and students at the school’s headquarters courtyard. To support the teachers and students in forming an anti-Japanese armed force, the Northern Bureau and the War Mobilization Committee sent Cao Zhenzhi and Feng Fuhou to conduct party and military work at the school. On October 10, the Teachers and Students' Anti-Japanese Volunteer Corps at Chengcheng Middle School was officially established, with Liu Yongru serving as the captain. On November 5, due to intensifying warfare and Japanese air raids on Qingyuan City, the Volunteer Corps withdrew to Dongyu Village, was renamed the Teachers and Students' Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Unit of Chengcheng Middle School, and later reorganized into the 4th Guerrilla Detachment of the War Mobilization Committee. On July 29, 1938, the 4th Guerrilla Detachment of the War Mobilization Committee and part of the 120th Division jointly formed the 120th Division's Daqing Mountain Detachment of the Eighth Route Army, led by Li Jinquan, which advanced into Suiyuan to establish the Daqing Mountain guerrilla base. Due to years of neglect, some buildings at the original site have collapsed or been damaged.
