Dundas Square

Dundas Square is a public square located in downtown Toronto, Canada, situated at the southeast corner of the intersection of Yonge Street and Dundas Street. It was completed and opened to the public in November 2002. Because Dundas Street bends at the north side of the square, the northeast corner of the plaza is cut off, making Dundas Square a pentagon rather than a square.

Dundas Square is designed as a leisure and entertainment venue for the public. It is a sloped plaza with a floor paved in granite slabs. A stage is built in the southeast of the square, serving as a performance platform for concerts or other events, featuring a retractable canopy. Large screens are installed around the square, along with a modern stage used for concerts and large-scale events. Dundas Square is almost as vibrant, colorful, and bustling as New York's Times Square, London's Piccadilly Circus, and Tokyo’s Shibuya district.

As a public space, the number of visitors to Dundas Square is difficult to calculate, but it has become one of Toronto’s most popular attractions and a must-visit site for tourists in the city.
