The Former Site of the Yangqu County Committee of the Communist Party of China was the office of the Yangqu County Committee of the Communist Party of China established just before the liberation of Yangqu County. After the victory in the War of Resistance against Japan, Hua Guofeng served as Secretary of the Communist Party of China Yangqu County Committee in Shanxi and Political Commissar of the Guerrilla Work Team, and once lived and worked in the west room on the upper level of the second courtyard at this former site.

Originally a residence belonging to the Liu family in the local area, the site was requisitioned in November 3, 1948, to serve as the office of the Yangqu County Committee of the Communist Party of China until the government moved to Nanping in Huangzhai Village in 1953. Comrade Hua Guofeng, then Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, served as the Party Secretary of Yangqu County from November to December 1948 and worked and lived here. The building faces south and features a two-courtyard layout, covering an area of 1,386.72 square meters. The central axis includes a south room and a main room, with wing rooms and side rooms on both sides.

The Former Site of the Yangqu County Committee of the Communist Party of China largely retains the architectural style and layout from the time it functioned as the office of the County Committee shortly before the liberation, with good authenticity and integrity of the cultural heritage structures.
