Introduction Colon Street is the oldest street in Cebu City and even the entire Philippines, said to be named in honor of the navigator Christopher Columbus. Located in the Parian or Chinatown area, it is the heart of the city. By day, it serves as a bustling commercial center of Cebu, and by night, it transforms into a vibrant entertainment district. The streets are filled with jeepneys, taxis, and various modes of transportation. The central points on both the northern and southern ends of Colon Street are the most developed, and monuments erected along the street mark its honored status as the oldest street.
