Agung Rai Museum of Art is located in the Ubud district of Bali and was established in 1956. It is the oldest art museum on the island, focusing on traditional Balinese paintings and wood carvings, and is one of the most popular and outstanding museums in Bali.

The Agung Rai Museum of Art features a diverse collection of paintings and wood carvings dating from 1930 to the present, created by various Balinese art schools and renowned artists such as the Batuan school, Young Artists, and others. In addition to traditional court paintings, works from regions including Ubud, Badung, and Sanur are also on display. The museum consists of three buildings: the northern building mainly exhibits paintings created before the turmoil of the years 1930 to 1945, the western building showcases works by Ida Bagus Made, a well-known traditional Balinese painter, and the eastern building displays pieces related to Wayang shadow puppetry and is also used for temporary exhibitions. The museum is open daily from 8:00 to 16:00, year-round except for Balinese holidays.
