The summit of Mount Hermon spans Syria and Lebanon, rising 2,814 meters above sea level, making it the highest peak in Syria. The southern part of Mount Hermon extends into the Golan Heights, where the Mount Hermon Ski Resort is located, under Israeli administration.

Mount Hermon is famous for its skiing and is a popular ski resort in Israel, offering a wide range of ski training programs for beginners, intermediates, and advanced skiers—making it a great place even for those with no prior skiing experience to learn. There are also specialized ski schools near the slopes where visitors can take lessons, so becoming a proficient skier is no longer just a dream. Safety is not a concern here either, as there is a dedicated ski patrol team; just one call can resolve any issues.

Mount Hermon also provides winter recreational activities such as sledding and cross-country skiing to cater to different visitors' preferences. At the foot of the mountain, there are small restaurants offering food and drinks. The Syrian government has announced plans to build a multi-billion-dollar ski resort.
