Damai Beach

Introduction Damai Beach (also known as Damai Coast) is a seaside resort area located north of Kuching, about an hour’s drive from the city. It features Mount Santubong, which rises to an elevation of 810 meters, and boasts expansive, scenic coastlines with wide-open views. Major attractions include the Sarawak Cultural Village and the Damai Golf Course. Local accommodation options include the Damai Beach Holiday Inn and the Damai Lagoon Resort. The Sarawak Cultural Village is home to seven different ethnic groups, offering live music performances, traditional crafts, and cultural shows. Visitors can try their hand at extracting sugarcane juice and participate in various games.

Ticket / Opening Hours Cultural Village opening hours: 9:00–17:15 (fewer performances after 4:00 PM). Cultural performance times: 11:30 AM–12:15 PM; 4:30 PM–5:15 PM. Ticket: 45 MYR; 20 MYR after 4:00 PM.
