Intelligence Space

Intelligence Factory is located in Tongui-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. It serves both as an exhibition space where talented young artists can showcase their work and as a non-profit venue that offers exhibition consulting based on professional curation capabilities. Established in 2003 by Lee Sook-jin and Tom Lee, it is dedicated to offering young Korean artists a broad platform for exhibitions.

Unlike other galleries, Intelligence Factory requires artists to work one-on-one with curators for about a year to prepare for each exhibition. According to the organizers, this system was introduced because, while creating art is the artist’s job, translating that work into the visual language suitable for exhibition spaces demands close communication between the artist and curator. Only through such collaboration can a successful exhibition be realized.

Intelligence Factory hosts 10–11 exhibitions per year, roughly one every three weeks. The exhibitions are entirely art-focused, constantly innovating to deliver a superlative visual experience for visitors. In addition, to enhance public engagement, the factory also organizes seminars and projects to attract participation from the general public.
