The Kyoto International Manga Museum, located in Nakagyō Ward, Kyoto, Japan, is a museum dedicated to manga. Opened in 2006 and operated by Kyoto Seika University, it is a must-visit destination for manga fans.

The Kyoto International Manga Museum houses a collection of domestic and international manga works and related historical materials dating back to the Meiji era, totaling at least 300,000 items by 2011. The museum is divided into permanent exhibition areas, special exhibition areas, research areas, collection storage, and the Kyōden Elementary School Historical Museum, along with auxiliary facilities such as a shop and a café. It features a 200-meter-long bookshelf containing over 50,000 manga volumes, known as the "Manga Book Wall." A wide variety of manga for all ages is available for free reading. Visitors can freely browse comics both inside the museum and on the lawn area outside, and computers are provided to help locate specific manga volumes.

On the second floor, the multi-purpose research room not only stages nostalgic kamishibai (picture card shows), but also features unique street performances by Annoya’s kamishibai that can’t be seen elsewhere. A rich variety of performances — including wordless and picture-only kamishibai — have earned praise even from overseas visitors. In addition, the history of kamishibai is introduced.
