Introduction

The Tempozan Marine Museum (HARBOUR VILLAGE) is one of the world’s largest aquariums, built on July 20, 1990. Centered around the massive “Pacific Ocean” tank, its 14 tanks hold a total of 5,400 tons of water, recreating the natural marine environments of 10 regions around the Pacific Ring of Fire. The aquarium is home to approximately 580 species and over 30,000 marine creatures, including seabirds and mammals, as well as sea rays, sharks, dolphins, and sea lions. Within the museum grounds, you’ll find restaurants, a specialty shop selling ocean-themed souvenirs, and a giant Ferris wheel (with a diameter of 100 meters and a height of 112.5 meters above ground). From the Ferris wheel, you can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the entire city of Osaka.
