Expo Commemoration Park Koenji Riverside Park

This park spans 106 hectares and includes a large pond. The slopes are covered with tulips, salvias, cosmos, and other flowers that bloom throughout the year. The windmill is the park’s iconic symbol, and there is a rose garden housing 2,600 roses of nearly 450 different varieties. Here you can also observe various insects, thousands of ducks, and almost 100 species of wild birds. Additionally, the green space with a flowing stream offers playgrounds for children, an area for camping and barbecuing, as well as a horseback riding field, a swimming pool open all year round, and a sports center. In 1990, the ‘90 International Garden and Greenery Exposition was held at Koenji Riverside Park. After the exposition, the site became this commemorative park that blooms with flowers in all seasons.
