Independent Administrative Institution Japan Mint Headquarters
The Japan Mint houses approximately 125 varieties and a total of 370 cherry blossom trees. Every year, crowds of visitors come here especially to admire the blossoms.
Here you can see rare varieties not found elsewhere, such as the “Red Thorn Ball” and “Yoro Zakura.” You can also enjoy the charm of nighttime cherry blossom viewing.
Nighttime cherry blossom viewing takes place around mid-April, which is usually the peak blooming season. From evening until 9:00 p.m., the path along the cherry blossoms is adorned with elegant lanterns from the entrance.
