The tomb of Wang Wanbang, Commander-in-Chief of Weiyuzhen during the Qing Dynasty, is located seven li northwest of Yanggao County. He was granted an imperial funeral and enshrined in the Zhaogong Temple.

Wang Wanbang – A Martial Arts Jinshi of the Qing Dynasty

Wang Wanbang (1723–1773) was a native of Yanggao during the Qing Dynasty. In his youth, he had a robust physique, grasped the general meaning of what he read, and possessed exceptional courage and strategy. In the 16th year of the Qianlong reign (1751), he passed the martial arts imperial examination and was appointed as an imperial guard with flower-plume insignia. The following year, he was assigned as a military officer (Youji) in the Liangzhou Camp of Shaanxi. At that time, military campaigns were underway in the western frontiers. Wang Wanbang led a detachment force in support of the Dingbian General to attack the enemy arsenal, breaching its southern gate and capturing a large number of enemies. Later, due to accumulated military merits, he successively served as the Camp Commandant (Canjiang) of Baoding City Defenses and the Deputy General (Fujiang) of Zhangjiakou.
