The Sui Shiying Fort Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Yanggao County.

The Sui Shiying Fort Site dates back to the Ming Dynasty and is located in Sui Shiying Village, Wangguantun Town, Yanggao County.

On December 25, 2018, the Sui Shiying Fort Site was designated as a county-level cultural heritage protection unit of Yanggao County.

Protected area: the boundary is defined by the fort’s wall, extending 10 meters outward in all directions.

Wangguantun Town: Wangguantun Town is located 15 kilometers southwest of Yanggao. It lies to the west of Cailiang Mountain and covers an area of 106.3 square kilometers. The annual average temperature is 7°C, the frost-free period lasts 130 days, and the annual rainfall is 430 mm. In spring, the last frost occurs on May 15 at the foot of the slopes and slightly later on the upper slopes.

The town mostly consists of sandy, gravelly, sloping thin-soil fields and saline-alkali land, resulting in very low crop yields — around 50 kilograms per mu under normal conditions. Historically, apart from a small number of valley and lowland areas irrigated by streams or enriched by silt from floodwater, there were no irrigated fields.
