The Dongguan High Irrigation Canal is a cultural heritage protection unit of Yanggao County.

The Dongguan High Irrigation Canal was built in 1960 and is located east of Dongguan Village, Longquan Town, Yanggao County.

On December 25, 2018, the Dongguan High Irrigation Canal was designated as a county-level cultural heritage protection unit of Yanggao County.

Protected area: bounded by the structure itself, extending 10 meters outward in all directions. Construction control zone: bounded by the protected area, extending 50 meters outward in all directions.

Longquan Town: Longquan Town is the political, economic, and cultural center of Yanggao County. It lies 50 kilometers west of Datong, the “Coal Capital,” and 300 kilometers east of Beijing, the capital city. Major transportation routes such as the Dazhang Highway, Shenfeng Highway, and the Beijing-Baotou Railway run through the town, giving it a unique locational advantage in terms of transport.
