Guiqian Hall

Located forty-five li southwest of Hunyuan County on the eastern side of Yuquan Mountain, this was the hermitage of Liu Qi during the Yuan Dynasty. Liu Qi, a native of Hunyuan, styled himself Jingshu and was the son of Liu Congyi. During the Jin Dynasty, he was a student at the Imperial Academy and later passed the imperial examination upon a second attempt in the top eight. His work "Guiqian Zhi" (Records of Seclusion) was written here, and much of its content was incorporated into the compilation of the "History of Jin."…
