Macao Story House

Macao Story House (English name: “MacauStoryHouse”), located at No. 6A, Rua da Felicidade Nova, is an inspirational space integrating historical research, educational outreach, and artistic creation, established in 2012 by the Macao Oral History Association.

The library collection primarily focuses on three categories: oral history, Macao-specific publications, and art and design. It features a reading area, an exhibition and sales zone, and a cultural salon space. Currently, the collection includes over 2,000 books, 800 magazines, nearly 1,500 historical images of Macao, and approximately 500 audiovisual files. Upon entering the Story House, one can feel the Macao Oral History Association’s unwavering commitment to promoting local culture. Not only has it gradually compiled and published Macao stories into books, pamphlets, postcards, and more, but it also applies its research outcomes to cultural and creative products, exhibitions, workshops, and lectures—ensuring these results effectively reach communities and schools, reinforcing Macao’s image as a historic and cultural city and actively advancing local history education.
