Macao Communications Museum
The Communications Museum under Macao Post combines cultural, scientific, and technological elements. It is an interactive and experimental museum that opened on March 1, 2006, and is divided into two main exhibition areas. The first-floor Postal and Philatelic Exhibition Area houses a collection of systems, technologies, and equipment used in the development of long-distance communication, showcasing a valuable collection of stamps closely tied to the history of the Post Office and postal equipment.
The second-floor Telecommunications Exhibition Area is the most interactive part of the museum. In addition to displaying telecommunications equipment related to the historical development of the Post Office, it features a wide range of scientific exhibits themed around electromagnetism, static electricity, direct current, telegraphy, telephony, and more—offering insights into the evolution of communication media, technology, and cutting-edge innovations.
