Victoria Park hosts Hong Kong's largest Lantern Festival flower market every year and is also one of the best spots to admire the moon during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Introduction

Located opposite the entrance of The Peninsula Hong Kong on Gloucester Road, it is the largest park in Hong Kong. Established in 1955, it primarily features sports facilities, including a swimming pool, tennis courts, football fields, and other ball game courts. A bronze statue of Queen Victoria stands at the park's entrance. Every morning, many locals can be seen exercising here.

Key Events: 1. Every Sunday at noon, the park hosts a distinctive current affairs debate — the City Forum. Similar to London’s Hyde Park, members of the public can engage in discussions with speakers, and the sessions are broadcast live on television. 2. The annual international tennis elite competition or the Grand Prix go-kart event is also held here. 3. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Wish Lantern Corridor is set up in Victoria Park (Causeway Bay), the Avenue of Stars (Tsim Sha Tsui), and Park Lane Shopper's Boulevard (Tsim Sha Tsui). Visitors can enjoy magnificent giant lantern displays, with the Lantern Fest showcasing representative lanterns from all districts across Hong Kong, each competing in beauty and creativity. Additionally, free wish cards are available, allowing visitors to hang their heartfelt wishes on the lantern corridor in hopes they come true. 4. Before Christmas, the annual Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo is held — similar to a temple fair in Beijing — where a variety of local specialties and delicious food are sold at special prices. With an entrance fee of HK$10, it attracts many visitors and is definitely worth a visit.

1. Exit E at Causeway Bay MTR Station and walk along Great George Street to the park.
