Daofu Mountain Shrine

Daofu Mountain Shrine is located in Sheung Wo Che Village, Sha Tin, adjacent to the Sha Tin MTR station, in an area dotted with temples and Taoist shrines. The shrine is built against a mountain, overlooking the entire downtown Sha Tin area. It enjoys a tranquil environment, vast grounds, and is covered with ancient trees and osmanthus blossoms. Lush greenery spreads across the hills, accompanied by the serene fragrance of flowers.

Daofu Mountain Shrine is dedicated to promoting Taoism and enshrines over a hundred deities of various sizes. The shrine includes the Doulu Palace, Dou Hall, God of Wealth Hall, and the Sixty Tai Sui Hall. Other deities enshrined here include the Northern Emperor, Che Kung, the Moon God, the Medicine King, the Child-Giving Guanyin, the God of Literature Wenchang, and the Seven Fairies.

The shrine features both traditional Chinese-style and Western-style gardens, where ancestral tablets and longevity plaques can be placed. There is also a specially designated non-smoking Western-style garden suitable for Catholics, Christians, those without religious beliefs, or individuals who have not yet been baptized to place ashes.
