The tomb cluster stretches 15 km from east to west and 1 km from north to south, all covered by forest. From 1986 to 1991, in coordination with the construction of an open-pit coal mine project, over 200 Warring States tombs and more than 170 Qin and Han tombs were excavated in the eastern section of the cluster, yielding nearly 1,000 artifacts. Experts and scholars have paid close attention to these burials, believing that they likely belong to the “Loufan,” a northern ethnic minority group from the Warring States period. Since 1994, over 10 Warring States and Qin-Han tombs have been excavated in conjunction with small-scale construction projects, unearthing more than 40 artifacts. On the ground surface of the tomb cluster, there are currently two earthen burial mounds arranged from east to west, both well-preserved. The western mound is 8 meters high with a perimeter of 80 meters, while the eastern mound is 6 meters high and 60 meters in perimeter.
