Hejing Beishan Forest Park is a prime example of how barren Gobi hills were transformed into a forest park, and also a tangible public welfare project that has improved the urban ecological environment and enhanced the city’s image. The northern hills were originally a sand and gravel quarry and Gobi wasteland. Every spring and autumn, fierce winds often carried clouds of sand that plagued local residents, making it one of the city's major sources of dust. Today, the ecological and shelter forests on the hills have flourished with greenery and branches. What was once an ancient wilderness is now lush and green, having become a true forest park and a main destination for leisure, sightseeing, and recreation for local residents.

Attractions Distribution:

Beishan Forest Park is located to the north of the county town, featuring a 16,000-mu ecological fruit-picking garden, a 3,000-mu tourism and sightseeing garden, a 4,000-mu ecological leisure garden, and a 2,000-mu Mongolian cemetery. The park includes facilities such as a visitor square and viewing pavilions, and visitors can also take sightseeing vehicles to tour the park.
