Wang Gaodeng Site
The Wang Gaodeng Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Shuozhou City.
The Wang Gaodeng Site is located 600 meters southwest of Wang Gaodeng Village, Taocun Township, Pingshu District, dating back to the Neolithic Age. It spans approximately 100 meters from east to west and about 200 meters from north to south.
On March 21, 2011, the Wang Gaodeng Site was designated as one of the first municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Shuozhou City.
Taocun Township: Located in the southeastern part of Pingshu District, Taocun Township borders the city and urban area, with the Yuanyuan Road running through the entire township. The township has 26 administrative villages, 2,070 households, and a population of 12,900. The arable land area covers 38,000 mu, with 13 coal mines operated by the township and villages. The per capita income is 2,800 yuan. The annual tax revenue exceeds 12.6 million yuan.
In recent years, the township Party committee and government have leveraged local advantages, increased investment, enhanced technological content, and developed a model with the coal industry as the mainstay while also promoting agriculture.
