Hongshan Lake Ethnic Culture Park is located 2 kilometers south of the county town. With Provincial Highway 229 passing through the scenic area, it enjoys convenient transportation and is a great destination for leisure during holidays. The park features lush poplar and willow trees, a cool climate, and moist air, making it an ideal spot for summer retreats and relaxation. In summer, birds chirp in chorus, and wild animals can be spotted from time to time. Starting from the end of May each year, visitors can enjoy traditional Kazakh ethnic sports such as horse racing, sheep snatching, and "Kyz Kuu" (girl-chasing), as well as a variety of vibrant ethnic song and dance performances every afternoon at the Ice Mountain Ethnic Art Center within the park. These activities offer a glimpse into the bold, unrestrained, and hospitable spirit of the western ethnic groups. By participating in horseback riding, dancing, hiking, nature tracking, sightseeing along mountain rivers, and forest exploration, visitors can also engage in physical exercise, fully experience the life of grassland herders, and enjoy unforgettable grassland bonfire parties. The scenic area is enveloped by Hongshan Lake, where waterfowl frequently fly by. To date, facilities such as an arena, viewing platforms, fishing spots, and cruise boats have been established. Every June, our county hosts the “Ice Mountain Arts Festival” here, inviting leaders from the autonomous region and prefecture to attend, which serves as excellent publicity for the local tourism industry. Notably, in 2006, the regional Aken Singing Festival was successfully held in our county, greatly enhancing its visibility and the reputation of its various attractions.
