The Jimunai County National Wetland Park is located in the southwestern part of Jimunai County, at the northern foot of the Sayug Mountains. Its boundaries are as follows: the eastern and northern limits are set by the 2,500-meter elevation line (areas above 2,500 meters are alpine zones), the southern limit extends to areas below 3,200 meters where wetlands are distributed (3,200 meters marks the glacier snowline, with areas above it being glacial and snow-affected zones), and the western limit follows the national border. The geographical coordinates are between 47°6′4″N to 47°10′30″N and 85°33′58″E to 85°42′28″E. The wetland park stretches 13 kilometers from east to west and 13 kilometers from north to south, with a total area of 4,965 hectares, of which wetland areas account for 2,437 hectares, or 49.1% of the total park area.
