Hudson Oilfield

Hudson Oilfield is China's largest million-ton desert oilfield and the country's first one-billion-ton integrated desert oilfield. Currently, it produces around 2 million tons of crude oil annually.

Hudson Oilfield is located in the southeastern part of Shaya County, about 160 kilometers from the county seat.

The vast desert, once known as the "Sea of Death," now echoes with the sounds of machinery, fluttering red flags, towering derricks, and gushing oil and gas. It has become a popular destination for desert petroleum industry sightseeing, scientific research, and photography tourism.
