Sun Island Ecological Sightseeing Park is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

Shaya County Sun Island Ecological Sightseeing Park is located 36 kilometers along the Tanan Tourist Highway in Shaya County. Established in 2008, the scenic area covers a total area of approximately 1,900 square kilometers, including about 186 square kilometers of water surface. Currently, it features six main attractions: the Tarim River, Populus euphratica forest, Sun Island, Populus euphratica Lake, the International Populus euphratica Photography Base, and the Sina Bloggers Photography Training Camp.

It is reported that visitors to the scenic area can not only enjoy the beautiful sights of Sun Island, desert landscapes, and desert sunsets, but also engage in outdoor activities such as small rafting trips on the Tarim River, fishing, and Populus euphratica forest sightseeing. Additionally, they can savor delicious local cuisine including Tarim River grilled fish, Tarim River goat meat, Tarim River Populus euphratica mushrooms, as well as farm-fresh vegetables and fruits picked by hand.
