Tailimu Xianglong Lake Scenic Area

Tailimu Xianglong Lake Scenic Area, a national 3A-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area, is located by the Tailimu River Barrage. It borders Alar to the east, Aksu to the west, and Awati to the south. It is 78 kilometers from Alar City and 58 kilometers from Aksu City. Built in 2004 along China’s longest inland river, the Tailimu River, and the Taklamakan Desert, this natural scenic area covers an area of over 300 acres and opened to the public in 2005. The scenic area integrates Jiangnan-style garden architecture with water conservancy and reclamation culture, cultural landscapes, patriotic education, pristine natural ecology, and captivating natural beauty. Attractions such as the Tailimu River Barrage, Tailimu River Panorama, Bibo Pavilion, Zhaixing Pavilion, Five-Pavilion Bridge, Western Region Melody, Immortal Crossing Bridge, Mingyue Waterside Pavilion, Jiulong Pool, Rest Garden, and Water Park have earned it the reputation of being the “Jiangnan Water Town.”
