It is a small island covering over 5,000 acres in the upper reaches of the Tarim River, surrounded by water on all sides and rich in water resources. Located more than 20 kilometers from Aksu City, the island boasts thousands of acres of pristine wild Populus euphratica forests, where various wild animals such as hares, pheasants, and hedgehogs live. It is widely renowned for its pristine natural ecological tourism landscape formed by ancient and rugged trees like the Populus euphratica, which embody the saying "live for a thousand years without dying, stand for a thousand years after death, and remain unrotted for a thousand years even when fallen." According to expert assessment, the Populus euphratica forest on the island is currently the best-preserved wild Populus euphratica forest in the entire Xinjiang region, possessing significant scientific research and aesthetic value.

Most of the Populus euphratica trees on the island are around 50 years old, with heights of several meters. In spring and summer, the island is shaded by lush greenery, filled with birdsong and floral scents, and accompanied by the sound of flowing water. In autumn and winter, the trees turn golden yellow, with falling leaves dancing in the autumn wind and snowflakes mingling with catkins, creating a delightful scene.

Visitors can enjoy activities at the upstream open-air swimming pool, beach volleyball court, archery, badminton, table tennis, billiards, and various other recreational and fitness venues. Leisure activities such as a 20-kilometer Tarim River rafting trip, a one-day camel ride tour, and fishing in the Uyghur style are full of fun. The most novel experience is taking a simple wooden boat ferry, which is thrilling yet safe, offering a strong sense of adventure.

To satisfy visitors’ curiosity, there are Mongolian yurts with Xinjiang ethnic minority characteristics, Thai-style stilted houses with bathrooms, dance halls, restaurants, accommodation, entertainment, as well as ethnic song and dance performances and live music played by local artists, ensuring visitors are enchanted and reluctant to leave.
